Essure Problems

About Me

I was implanted with Essure in 2008 in a. Hospital setting , my procedure went exactly as I was told it would and I was back to my daily routine the same day after a nap.   Soon after my cycle became irregular, after my 3 month HSG test where I was occluced, my cycle stopped completely and pain began.  Test after test showed unremarkable results.  Since the beginning I've had pain that over the years has become remarkably worse.  Since early  2010 ive had inflammation throughout my body for months at a time that makes my daily life challenging. Trying to get Drs to listen and do appropriate testing was just as challenging. Prior to being implanted with Essure my medical records are unremarkable.  I only saw a dr for yearly exams, I never had woman issues, my cycle was like clockwork, and I never had pain.

Over the last year I've seen several Gyns and returned to my implanting physician, I've seen 3 primary care Drs, I hope this new dr will listen and run tests, I've seen a neurologist , had ER visits, a hysterscopic uterin biopsy, d&c, blood work, another HSG, several vaginal ultrasounds, x-rays, regular ultrasounds and finally last week a hysterectomy which relieved all the pain that I've suffered with for years. During my surgery it was found that i had such a large growth of scar tissue that my organs were attached to eachother.   I have no more stabbing hip pain, back pain or inflammation, even the pain in my feet that felt like pins when I stood up is completely gone.   There is no denying that Essure was the cause of my issues, other than normal incision pain I feel great!
